A suitcase to fill, ride and sit on! Monday 2nd March 2009 Filed under What Present To Buy A Child Who Likes To Travel
It is often the simplest ideas that are the best ones and this is definitely the "case" with Trunki, the revolutionary new sit on suitcase for kids. As anyone with young children will tell you, airports and kids do not go well together and their tired little legs usually manifest themselves in a loud and vocal response - if you're lucky, they just moan and whinge but full scale tantrums are not uncommon. And in a way, who can blame them because there have been plenty of times when I'd have liked to have sat on my suitcase and been wheeled around the airport terminal. A Trunki suitcase not only provides kids with wheels, it also serves as a way of keeping them in tow, as a bench for tired legs and as a pull along toy that can carry important things like more toys as well as the less important clean clothes. Colourful, fun and super-stable, Trunki features integrated wheels, steering 'horn' grips and a contoured saddle allowing kids to safely ride their luggage through the terminal. And if they tire of being pulled around they can take Trunki for walkies using its sturdy towing strap.
Weighing in at just 1.9kg, but made from the same durable plastic as normal suitcases, Trunki is not only big enough to ride for kids in the 3-6 age range, it is small enough to pass as hand luggage. We have only one complaint - and it's a big one. Why don't they make them in adult sizes too. Trunki is available from Firebox for £29.99. |
